- Woe Is Me: Ah, the chronic complainer. Everything in this person's life is grist for the mill. Experiments aren't going well, she isn't getting along with her supervisor, there are problems in her personal life, and the equipment is not up to par. If it exists, this individual will complain about it.

- The Hornet: A prime candidate for anger-management coaching, the hornet will explode with wrath for no reason at all or if confronted, challenged, or rubbed the wrong way. You and everyone else in the lab walk on eggshells in fear that The Hornet will deliver a nasty sting.

- Sneak Thief: The Sneak Thief borrows your equipment and expertise, picks your brain for ideas, then refuses to give credit when credit is due. When the Sneak Thief has a success, he'll say he did it all on his own.

- Who, Me?: This person has a hard time keeping commitments. Say that you've decided to work on a project together and have divided up the work. Then it comes time to deliver: "Who, me? Was I supposed to do that experiment? Order those supplies? Calibrate the machine?"

Here are few exercises to reduce double chin

Everyone can correct the form and size of their chin by doing facial exercises. The secret of these exercises is that they strengthen the muscles, lift the skin and reduce under-chin fat. When you do these exercises regularly, that is once or twice daily, you can feel the first results after two weeks. And here are the exercises:

• Sit down straight. Tilt your head back. Pull down the neck skin with your hand collarbone-high and keep holding so while you are exercising. Then pull your lower jaw forward and press your lips together. Hold in this position for 2 seconds. Then release for another two seconds and repeat again. Make 30 repetitions daily. You will feel the neck muscles and skin stretching. One doing this exercise looks like a fish in an aquarium.
• Lie on your back with straight legs and hands on the floor near your thighs. Press your chin to your chest and hold in this position for 2 seconds. Then slowly tilt your head back, then again slowly press your chin to you chest. Make 25 repetitions.
• Lie on your back with straight legs and hands on the floor near your thighs. Lift your head up, so that your chin is the highest point of the head, hold it for 2 seconds, then slowly release and lay your head down. Make 30 repetitions. You should feel your neck skin stretch.

I have just finished listing down 100 things about him...The first 70 was fast but it gets slower after that...there are something I find so difficult to put into words, I don't know whether because they're unique or my vocabulary/writing skill sux!

Dog and Islam...

I was 'google-ing' something went i came across an entry in a blog which was discussing about another blog which is all about dogs and the owner of the blog is Muslim.In that blog there are pictures of women in hijab and men in 'kopiah' and 'jubah' playing and hugging with dogs.There are even discussions about dog in Islam, all the hadith,Surah and explanation about dog and Islam.I must admit i was kinda shock when i first saw it but i do not wish to comment as i think my knowledge is still too little.I think i need to do some thorough research before making any statement.I do not know whether the blog is managed by a group of people or by an individual.but i must say this ppl/individual really did their own research in Al-Quran on this dog thingy.Al-Quran is actually an encyclopedia where all the scientific theories are all in there but you really have study it and do thorough research and thinking to discover it.So i was thinking if this ppl were studying the Al-Quran for the search of some scientific theory/concept, there might be a possibility of them winning the Noble prize for discovering something novel.Unfortunately, there are more interested in dogs!and ouhh i hope it is not some kind of propaganda to confuse the Muslims...

Can fruit make you fat? Natural sugar in fruit is 'fuelling the nation's obesity epidemic'

A natural sugar found in fruit is fuelling the obesity epidemic, scientists say.

A study has shown that fructose - which is used to sweeten soft drinks and junk food - might be more harmful than other types of sugar.

In tests, fat people given large doses of fructose were more likely to put on weight around the stomach than those given glucose.

Doctors say this 'intra-abdominal fat' is the most harmful type and is linked to diabetes and heart disease.

Pure fructose is found in fresh fruit, fruit juice and jam.

However, it also sneaks into our diet through the high-fructose corn syrup used in food manufacturing.

Concerns about fructose and high-fructose corn syrup have been growing.

Some experts believe they play a major role in the obesity crisis sweeping Britain and the U.S.

Scientists at the University of California put 33 overweight adults on a diet comprising 30 per cent fat, 55 per cent complex carbohydrates such as bread and rice, and 15 per cent protein for a fortnight.

For a further ten weeks they were moved to a diet in which a quarter of their energy came from either fructose or glucose, New Scientist reports today.

Both groups put on the same amount of weight - 1.5kg or 3.3 pounds.

However, volunteers on the fruit sugar diet put on more intra-abdominal fat, which wraps around their internal organs and causes pot bellies.

Those eating fructose also had higher levels of cholesterol.

The study, led by Dr Peter Havel, looked only at pure fructose - not high-fructose corn syrup. However the syrup breaks down into fructose and glucose in the body.

Dr Havel said: 'The question is what is the amount of high-fructose corn syrup or normal sugar you need to consume to get these effects?'

The finding suggests that the number of calories in food might not be as important as the type of sugar it contains.

A cake made with fructose could do more harm than one made with glucose.

A spokesman for PepsiCo, which sponsored Dr Havel's work, said: 'This is a very interesting and important study. But it does not reflect a real-world situation nor is it applicable to PepsiCo since pure fructose is not an ingredient in any of our food and beverage products.'

In a separate study, Dr Havel's researchers compared the immediate effects of consuming a meal in which 25 per cent of the energy came from either high-fructose corn syrup, sucrose, fructose or glucose.

The level of triglycerides - or fats - in the blood were all elevated to a similar level 24 hours after consuming fructose, sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup, but not glucose, according to the findings published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Sucrose breaks down into fructose and glucose in the body.

Dr Francine Kaufman, of the Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, said: 'It adds to what we have known for a long time.

'It's probably not a good idea to consume too much sugar.'

Experts point out that this does not mean we should stop eating fruit.

Fresh fruit contains relatively low levels of fructose - and the risks are outweighed by health benefits.

Happiness...

Do we really need a reason to be happy?I used to answer yes to that question.I thought I'll be happy if i have this or be that.Eventually i realize, even after having those things or be those things,i'm still not happy and keep on putting more conditions to be happy.I really want to become a doctor and thought my life will be purrrfect if i am a doctor now.but the question is,will i be happy if i am a doctor?if this same attitude i am carrying with me, i don't think i'll be because maybe that time i'll say i'll be happier if i'm a heart surgeon!so trust me, the listwill go on...
I personally think that if we want to be happy, we should be content and thankful with what we have now.so now,start counting our blessings!But of course that doesn't mean we can just hibernate in our comfort zone and do nothing to improve ourself.Life is all about equilibrium,baby!Strive to reach your destination and at the same enjoy the scenery along the journey!

This is actually a note to myself who love to grumble just about everything.I have more points in mind,but me being me,i just couldn't elobrate more!

I didn't go for laptop hunting last weekend, instead i just sat at home, and had a gossip girl marathon!!i don't find gossip girl that addictive but still marathon jugak because i was too bored!

my labwork now is full of uncertainties and for the record, i hate uncertainties!

My mum proposed something to me and asked me to think about it.What she suggested had came into my mind last time when i was in my final year of undergrad studies.to go for that now,i think, is a little too late.it's like i have to jump out the fence!

First entry...

I need to get a laptop but I don't know what laptop to buy.Not only am i having problem in deciding what model to buy,i am also in dilemma on deciding the budget.It is easy to decide which model to buy as all you need to do is just ask around or just google but when you can't decide on the budget, that's pretty complicated because that one issue you gotta figure out yourself.
I'm now eyeing Mac Book but I am a type of person who will only spend RM 2k if i have >RM10kin hand.Yeah i probably have the money to buy it but the question is whether or not i can survive after spending such amount of money!Right now i just don't have the heart for any other brand except for that particular one,the cheapest of all MacBook.
Initially the plan was to get the MacBook pro (pro,ok!) using the commission $$$$ as My parents supposed to convince this friend of theirs to invest with moi.However, things are not going the i way planned.Parents themselves are too skeptical so how on earth they're gonna convince the friend.So looks like i gotta do it myself.i will have some kind of choke everytime i'm facing problems and i can't think of any solutions. I'm choking now because right now i just do not have any plan or strategy and not even any prospect.....
ok,I am now planning to go to Low Yatt tomorrow for laptop hunt...
